Art: Mountains
Today we made mountains. We have been learning about traveling in covered wagons and how easy it was to get lost in the mountains during snow, when the trail was hard to find. This is part of Unit 30 in our Heart of Dakota curriculum.

2019 Valentines Day
This year for Valentine's Day we packed shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child to help share the "Love of God" with others.
The pencil sharpener, heart stickers, post-it notes, and erasers were packed in fun ziplock bags.
After adding soap, school supplies, hair stuff, toothbrushes, a wow item, and an item of clothing and bag or Christmas stocking we added the valentine items pictured above (a package of valentines, a cup with hearts, a heart ornament, a packet of verses sharing about love and a valentine craft kit).
Then we finished the box with other small fillers and a card for the recipient. Here are the participants and their boxes. A couple others will fill their boxes this evening.
