This week the kids are on spring break. They have a few lessons they will complete this week, but they will have lots of play time. It looks like it is going to be rainy the first part of the week as well, so I'd love some inside play activities. I'm planning on working on making a dress for Kaomi and if I finish that early enough I'd like to start one for Katy, too. There are a lot of other things I could be doing this week as well, but I'd like to let the sewing project be the top priority.
What do you do during spring break?
We have Spring Break this week, too. We're planning to take a picnic lunch to the park nearby, get our garden (mostly) planted, and I hope to sew a couple of dresses for my dd(one is almost forgotten UFO, and it shouldn't take long).
ReplyDeleteThe picnic to the park sounds fun!
DeleteHere is an Idea for somthing you can do. Pick a story read to the kids it should be short. Divide the story into 4 (or how ever meny) parts use a sheet of drawing paper for each part make a lable on the top of the sheet let each student have one sheet and draw that part of the story. Then pass the sheets around and alow each student to add small details to the other sheets reminding this is a group project when everyone has had a turn to create assemble the sheets in order and read the book again using the created sheets to illustrate the book stop at the end of each section to have the students explane their illustrations. ReplyDeleteThat sounds fun. I'll have to see what books that kids want to read that might work for that.
